What should I put on nutrition labels?

Italian and Spanish scientists have drawn up a list of ten principles that a nutritional label should have in order to help consumers make informed decisions towards healthier diets.

The principles for the definition of this label, as highlighted by the sector press Eurocarne, Revista Cárnica and Tecno Carne, are based on an information-based approach in accordance with the European Commission guidelines aimed at encouraging consumers to adopt a healthy dietto counteract the high incidence of chronic degenerative non-communicable diseases.
